Evidently, @Anthrax has decided to enable apparmor in the "linux-hardened" kernel so that it only requires adding the following kernel boot parameters
audit=1 security=apparmor apparmor=1What is the accepted etiquette?
Should I:
ask for my apparmor enabled version to be removed from the AUR?
leave an outdated package sitting there with a pinned comment that it now has official support?
give it a final update before taking one of the above options?
some other option?

Given that the official package provides all functionality previously provided by this one, the package should indeed be removed. I see that you've already posted a comment about the pending deprecation, so users should have already received the notification. You can go ahead and file the deletion request. Thanks for having maintained the package.
Incidentally, questions pertaining to AUR packages and policy should be directed to the aur-general mailing list.

Thanks, I have just compiled, tested and pushed a final update. I will give it a couple of days to make sure everyone has chance to get the notification, but will be submitting a deletion request shortly.
