PulseAudio crash and A2DP Bluetooth profile Unavailable

I have a pair of Bose QC35's and they have been working fine for months. All of a sudden (perhaps after update), they connect but have an 'off' profile. If I select HFP (audio sink) Pulse crashes and then when it restarts, the HFP profile is 'Unavailable':

Re: PulseAudio crash and A2DP Bluetooth profile Unavailable

I have the same issue (with Bose QC35 II). Seems to be a problem with pulseaudio. I used downgrade to use pulseaudio, libpulse, and pulseaudio-bluetooth with version 11.1-1 and now it works again. Newer versions have the core dump problem.
