Trackpoint buttons remapping

Hi, (this is a repost from my Newbie corner post, which got no answers.)

I want to bind Alt + Left/Right click (Trackpoint buttons) as browser back/forward action in arch. Of course, I want to keep the normal behaviour as well.

I'm looking for a solution on any level: acpi, xorg or openbox.

I've tried a couple of things but I can never find the appropriate action and I'm also not sure whether the Trackpoint buttons are considered keyboard or mouse. "acpi_listen" gives me nothing for those keys.
