Hi,
I opened a bug report for being unable to access Postbank homepage through KDE:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=396451
I can access the homepage through Firefox. Can anyone confirm this bug and explain to me whether it is still safe to access Postbank's homepage? Is this a problem with Postbank or KDE?
Thanks!

What do you mean by "access through KDE" ?

What is your default web browser?

All certificates needed to verify the trust should be available from them, but they don't provide the "DigiCert SHA2 Extended Validation Server CA" .
IF you got that certificate from another source that has a correct certificate chain, browsers will be able to trust postbank.de .
If you don't have that certificate in your cert store, you can't verify whether postbank.de is safe or not.
TL;DR :
- postbank.de IT-staff messed up the site setup, but many users won't notice it.
- Everything works as intended.
- you may want to contact postbank.de to let them know their TLS setup is faulty.
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

Thank you for your help. I will update the bug report at bugs.kde.org.

Dutch INGbank has blocked loging in with browsers with saved passwords. Deemed unsafe in case somebody else uses your computer. This also blocked all loging in with passwordmanagers. The symptoms described by the OP are the same. See if logging in with a different browser, like Chromium, does work.

www.postbank.de got a B rating, www.ing.nl gets an A+ .
Compare the section "Additional Certificates (if supplied)" in both reports and you'll notice they differ.
The problems OP describe have to do with the connection , not with logging in.

Sorry, you're right. Took the wrong shortcut in thinking.
