Steam not being detected, trying to install a DLC (TotalWar)

Hi,
I'm trying to download/install a DLC for TotalWar: Warhammer.
The problem is that when I choose Download, a popup appears:

Got Steam?

You need to have the Steam desktop application installed before you can install and launch Total War: WARHAMMER - Wurrzag. Do you have Steam installed on this computer?

Yes, Steam is installed
Play this game now

and nothing happens when I press it. It happens on both browser and the steam client itself.
Using Steam (Runtime)

Anyone had a similar problem and solved? Or is there a different way to download/install this kind of DLC?
