I'm not having any problems with text in the body of posts though!

i think the post info text (e.g.: Posted: Fri Jul 21, 2006 12:29 pm    Post subject:) (and possibly the user info to the left) should be changed to the lighter color, and the body text should be dark like the post info. then there'd still be a contrast between the two, but the message portion of the post would be more readable.  :idea:

@Gullible: You need to change your theme in your profile to get the new look.  Default is "subSilver" - it needs to be changed to "Arch"

#FBF8F1
Red = FB
Green = F8
Blue = F1

Fine, so it does have slightly more red in it than the other colors..but c'mon, that isn't enough to make it pink, adjust your monitor :-P

Ohhh... Duh. :oops:

Just for what it's worth though, wouldn't it be good to make Arch the default theme for users who aren't logged in? IMHO the Arch theme looks good enough for that. :shock:

I'm not sure about what dibble intend to do but I think that, once the Arch theme will be ready (no more formatting issues), it will become the default one. And maybe the subSilver theme will be removed completely.

Am I the only one who thinks the bold fonts are a bit too much? Like usernames, topic titles, Moderators, Forum Advisors, etc. Before it was a little bit here and there now its everywhere, in your face dark-colored bold.

I don't mind the bold fonts off on the side, ie, the Names, Title... But, I think the bold "XYZ wrote:" or "quote" in bold is a little busy. The quotes or XYZ wrote comments are already highlighted. IMO that's sufficient.

With that said, all in all, I like the new theme very much.

agree 100%. it's almost like the most non-essential information is being bolded, highlighted, darkened, etc. and the actual post content is being faded away. tongue

Re: [forums] We interupt this programme...

hey another thing that just struck me, all the other pages using the arch header have the logo in the upper left link to the arch main page. The forum's links to the forum index...

Re: [forums] We interupt this programme...

Just switched to the new theme. It's pretty good but the a:hover color is very ugly. Maybe a brown/reddish hue would be better.
Another thing: I don't see any difference in links visited/not-visited. Is it supposed to be this way?

Re: [forums] We interupt this programme...

Please make text post black (or at least alot darker)
link mouseovers are a bit light, not a bit deal.

also, there's a decent sized chunk of emptiness between the header and the content

Looking great!

I don't have a very specific list of things i'd like to change, no, but if you guys want to make a list of things, I'd be happy to see what I can do about them.

Well, for starters, the text color seems to be the most common complaint

Text colours, the padding fix, poll centering - there are a few.  The main one that needs you is the padding fix I think, you cracked the problem!

Can some of the colour people provide some CSS fixes, please?  I'll take a look at the poll.

Re: [forums] We interupt this programme...

Maybe a slightly lighter blue for mouseover color? Something like #649BD2 (it's only a rough suggestion)
