I've installed arch, dwm, sakura on an old laptop and sakura is all blurry (see image) even after I've changed to several different fonts and sizes in sakura.conf.
However, dwm, chromium, xterm, etc. don't seem to have any problem with font display.
I'm not sure what to search to troubleshoot it (I've tried linux dwm sakura burry and many variations on that theme).
I've also read https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/font_configuration. Based on that I tried this
rm /etc/fonts/conf.d/10-scale-bitmap-fonts.conf
but it didn't help.

This appears to be more blurry than what most people complain about, so I'm guessing it's not a font config issue, but perhaps I'm wrong.

That's not blurry; that's the wrong font (fallback) and the kerning is all munted. Try setting a monospace font, like DejaVu Mono.

Thank you. That did it. I just changed the sakura.conf line to
font=DejaVuSansMono 12
and my eyes are much relieved.
Cheers
