no alsa as normal user in chroot

Hi All,

I am trying to get ALSA working in a chroot. It works fine as root: i.e "sudo alsamixer" works, but doing that as a normal user within the chroot, it says it can't find the device.
... and yes, my normal user is part of the "audio" group ...

Is there any other permission thing, I should be doing in the chroot?

Thanks

EDIT: Never mind, I fixed it.
I had to see what group (number) the host was using for alsa, then made a group in the chroot with the same number (I called it hwaudio) and made my user part of that group.
Then it worked as a normal user ..

Hope this helps someone else ..
