Hello I just installed plasma 5 from pacman (pacman -S plasma-desktop), I noticed the fonts looks odd, I search on the configuration. When I pick enable antialiasing I see option hinting without any values for which one I should pick if normal, smooth, ect... is anyone have this issues. Also I force the fonts to 96 dpi on the monitor.
I try other DE XFCE or LXQT and the fonts looks fine, it only happen on plasma.
Thanks in Advance.

No offense, but this post makes no sense at all.
Hinting != Antialiasing and there's no "smooth" hinting either.
I suggest you provide screenshots of the fonts on KDE and XFCE as well as the output of "xrandr -q" and "xdpyinfo | grep resolution" on KDE and XFCE (to get an idea whether 96DPI is any reasonable and what is used on either DE).
Also see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fo … figuration

Sorry I didn't explain at the end I just mix up everything, well you are right there is not smooth option on hinting. I post this picture each of DE. Also the option of xrandr -q. Thanks for your reply. As you can see in the image of KDE the hinting style, just appear none. That is odd to me.
Thanks for your reply the info you request it.

You mean you can't change the hinting value in KDE to HintFull (like in xfce)?
Looks like a spinner more than like a combobox (ie. no drop-down, but you can operate the little arrows on the right edge)
Also some fonts render better at 96DPI - you're on actual ~91DPI (each), so it's worth a shot.
Finally ensure some gtk clients render better on xfce than on KDE (to rule out client issues)

Hi Seth, thanks for your replies, I try to installing a packet maybe I was missing was the kde-gtk-config, this help a little bit, but the fonts still some looks blurry.
As you said yes you are right I cannot change the Hint to full as XFCE or LXQT. My fonts was 96 dpi, but anyway the best option for me was Install LXQT and solved. Because someway I make my KDE installation little weird, change icons doesn' t recognize, some fonts were white when I use a dark theme. So I just trashed and install LXQT.
Thanks for your help.

Hello Again, finally i found the issues was LXQT, they have an option where you set the kind of fonts with the hinting, for some reason was unmarked. But this affect KDE, I just put check that option on LXQT and the fonts on KDE works again.
Thanks for your time.
Greetings.
