nvidia-bl breaks backlight

Hello, same guy as yesterday who had trouble installing nvidia-bl

Now that it's installed, and apple_bl is blacklisted, my brightness keys do not work at all. The backlight is also not in my power settings anymore.

I am reinstalling arch because my old hard drive died. Before the installation, nvidia-bl installed without any trouble and worked great after blacklisting apple_bl, now nothing is happening at all. Before blacklisting apple_bl, the brightness keys would show the little brightness bar, and the brightness appeared in my power settings, but they did not actually effect the brightness of the screen.

I've installed arch on this exact laptop quite a few times, and this is the first time i've had any trouble with this, what should I do?

Also, uncommenting the options line in there does not effect anything

It might be worth noting that I manually downgraded X11 to 1.19 as 1.20 isnt comatible with the nvidia 340xx propritary drivers
