Hi, i have a problem with this laptop and i can't find out what causes it. Essentially this laptop can only boot from UEFI and no bootloader seems to work except for systemd-boot, every other bootloader just stop booting with an undescore as the only thing displayed on the screen and i know the installation was successful, i don't really need help because i like systemd-boot but i'm curious to know what may be causing this and what i can do to find out what's the problem, so i'm asking you experts some hints ![]()

What else have you tried? How did you configure them? What were the configurations? Tell us about your partitioning scheme.

Well, i only tried using grub, syslinux and systemd-boot, the cofiguration i used are the defaults, for grub i ran the mkconfig. the partition scheme i used is:
100M EFI
58G EXT4 for the root
4G Swap
I haven't tried anything else because i thought the problem was not with the configuration but with the binaries. If i take as example grub, it never gets to the menu it just hangs before so there something strange happening with the UEFI firmware that prevent those bootloader to even start.

I was actually curious if you have tried booting using EFISTUB. Why use a boot loader at all?
Another choice is rEFInd. The nice thing about that one is, if you are dual booting Windows, it remembers what you used last time making Windows updates less painful.
