[Solved] How to partition with /home, / and /boot partition with UEFI

Hi,

I've installed Arch a few times before mainly following tutorials, but now I'm trying to install with a separate /home and root partition and also a boot partition and slightly unsure of the setup.

I'm looking at
/boot     = /dev/sda1 - Linux extended boot
/            = /dev/sda2 - Linux root (x86-64)
/home   = /dev/sda3 - Linux filesystem

Currently I'm thinking that everything is correct, however in the install.txt it says if UEFI is enabled, have a EFI system partition. Should this replace the Linux extended boot, or have as well as the boot partition?

You should read the UEFI article in the wiki. Everything is explained in there.

As a rule of thumb, assume there is one. This wiki is a beast.
