I am getting this error while opening gnome-terminal on newly installed system.
current locale is en_US.UTF8

Welcome to the arch linux forums pradhanharshil. What is the output of the following
locale
locale -a
cat /etc/locale.conf
grep -v ^# /etc/locale.gen

Something™ sets back the locale to C
localectl
In doubt, it's some entry in /etc/profile* or your locale profile or shell rc.

Or provide a lot more information about your system: like how you installed it and what is in those files (relating to locale) that seth mentioned.

The problem is solved. changed locales to en_US.UTF-8 and gnome-terminal works fine now. thanks !
