OpenOffice Crashes - WindowsFonts

Hi,

I've installed OpenOffice. Following this, I tried to install Windows' fonts. I have a directory /usr/share/fonts/WindowsFonts. It has files with the extensions:

      4 .CompositeFont
    192 .fon
      7 .FON
      1 .ini
     10 .ttc
    334 .ttf
      3 .TTF
      1 .uuid
      1 .xml

I rebuild the cache:

$ fc-cache -f

When I launch any OpenOffice application (eg. Spreadsheet), a crash occurs when I click the font drop-down.

Removing /usr/share/fonts/WindowsFonts resolves the issue (but obviously then I have no Windows fonts).

My instinct is that the non-ttf files may be the problem. Has anybody encountered a similar issue?
