I've been searching everywhere but no luck really...
I was looking to add some 1080ti's to my system to use for compute, while keeping my Vega64 as my display card.
However, the setup is a bit wonky. Initially when I added the 1080ti, the display would still be on the Vega64, but running `nvidia-smi` it showed that the Xorg and gnome-shell processes were on the 1080ti. Then eventually for no particular reason the entire display started switching to the 1080ti and the Vega card would stay black, where the opposite was initially the case.
I've been trying to configure an xorg drop in file to force the Vega to be used exclusively as the display, but it essentially has no effect at all on which display is used.

[ 46.284] (--) NVIDIA(GPU-0): You can see how the HDMI cable is initially plugged into the Vega64, but then the screen goes black and I plug it into the 1080ti and the display works.

I think you may need to override the OutputClass section with identifier nvidia from /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-nvidia-drm-outputclass.conf
as the current Xorg.log shows
