Hello. I'm in need of an app that could allow me to manage my to-dos, notes, ideas, life plans in an easy way. Up until then, I've put everything into one big txt file, or sometimes created smaller ones. The downside of that, it's that hard to find something from the past, one time I lost a pretty important information due to this mess. Trello would be a no-brainer, however I'm not comfortable with the thought that my very private data would be laying on some remote server on the other side of the ocean with someone possibly having access to it. Is there an app for Linux, or some kind of workaround that would allow me to manage my notes more efficiently?
I love the default Notepad app that comes with Android, is there something like that for Linux? What workflow do you have for managing your notes?

I'm a little confused (and you might be too!) about what you actually want... ![]()
Are you perfectly happy with plain text files? What is your text editor of choice?
Otherwise, it's just a matter of going through what's available and trying them out until you find something you like.
