Resume after suspend broken

Hello, I realize there's a few topics on this but I haven't seen a solid solution and did not want to hijack.
Hardware is an Asustor AS3204T (Celeron J3160) with 2GB RAM and IGD, no additional GPU.  One hardwired DOM and one 128GB SSD (hosting OS).

Software is latest Arch with nothing more than Kodi-standalone, Cyberpower UPS daemon, docker, and a few utilities.  I'm currently on the linux-lts package after seeing it recommended in some other posts.

The system appears to suspend correctly, but will not resume on keyboard press.  Power and network LEDs stay solid but disk LED blinks, this is normal operation when the system boots up so I'm not sure if it's related.
In dmesg I noticed some ACPI alarms:

You can see my resume kernel parameter, even though I'm not using hibernate (yet?) and it shouldn't conflict with this issue, correct?

This behavior occurs no matter the system state.  I've tried it with the kodi service disabled, enabled, issued suspend over ssh, through the kodi interface, nothing seems to bring the system back.  The network is also dead, so I can't ssh in to troubleshoot.  Odd thing is, resume did work just yesterday on this same hardware, sans the SSD.  I was testing the difference between HDD and SSD.  Had the exact same setup with HDD and resume would work.  Very odd.

Disclaimer: this is a funky Asustor NAS hack-job.  They have some really strange UEFI boot things taking place.  Every single time I boot the system I have to go into boot menu and choose the SSD.  I'm not quite ready to remove the DOM or overwrite it yet.  Changing the boot order in BIOS does not allow the system to boot from the SSD.  I wonder if there is some hidden UEFI function which forces the system to try and read from the DOM on resume?

Thanks for any help, I'd really like to get this fixed!

Re: Resume after suspend broken

Hi seth, thanks for the reply.  I do see that there is no S3 capability here, although the device advertises it.  I went into the mobo's BIOS config, and confirmed all ACPI Table / Features are enabled (including DSDT - ACPI S3 Support).  The does remind me about the ACPI errors in dmesg, but not sure if they are related:

Re: Resume after suspend broken

Hi, sorry for the delay.

S4 should™ wake from S3 as well.
ACPI errors are "standard" (means your board vendor poked his way to fit the MS OS of today, this is "normal")

I assume the keyboard is wired via USB?
You could try to enable "echo PWRB | sudo tee /proc/acpi/wakeup" and see whether the power button brings up the system.

Another thing is the SSD remark, the system may struggle to power it up. Since you say you have some ultra-hackish UEFI: does it allow you to not move SATA devices to D3 on S3? What about other SATA settings? (Using AHCI mode?)
