I would like to connect to a VPN on startup but I don't find the option to do so.
I guess I should be able to see that option in the general tab of the VPN, but all I see is this:

There are advanced options in the VPN tab but I didn't find the option there either.

Am I overlooking something?

Use the automatically connect to VPN option of the connection's General tab.

Do you mean "Metered connection"? I think it's by default on automatic and it doesn't seem to be what I'm searching for. At least it doesn't connect to the VPN on system start.

Hello,
have you installed the `networkmanager-openvpn` package?
Regards
Edit: Or is it even an OpenVPN server?

No, in the General tab of your normal ethernet or wifi connection.

D'oh! I didn't look into that tab. I will try it when I'm home. Thanks for your help.
