Occasional Freezing with Nvidia/Intel Hybrid Graphics.

This problem has been bothering me for a long time, but I have never been able to fix it. On my laptop, the whole system locks up occasionally. I first had the problem about two years ago when I used KDE, and the problem has persisted through my switch to i3. I have checked Xorg logs as well as journald, but no useful information is present. I am not quite sure how to troubleshoot this further, so help with where to look would be greatly appreciated.

What does your current setup look like, do you make use of the nvidia card in any shape? Are you using xf86-video-intel and can you try removing that to use modesetting instead, or vice versa?

Re: Occasional Freezing with Nvidia/Intel Hybrid Graphics.

Sorry for the late response, but I actually had both xf86-video-intel and xf86-video-nouveau installed. I will try removing intel and see what happens.
