X no longer running, no changes; Issues with proprietary nvidia

Hey guys,

I've been dealing with a small problem regarding the proprietary nvidia drivers on arch. After a reboot, X refuses to start, and I've traced the issue back to the nvidia module itself.

dmesg | grep nvidia gives me the following;
[ 1131.978471] nvidia: disagrees about version of symbol module layout

I hadn't made any changes to the system, but since, I've checked for a kernel upgrade, package upgrades, I've been through pretty much every thread I could find regard this and I haven't found a solution. Does anybody have any ideas?

post full dmesg & journalctl -b please.
(you may want to use a Pastebin client)

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)
