I install arch to my acer notebook,but it can not boot
and reprot the error information "/bin/sh: can't access tty; job control turned off"

Help me please!!

Post your grub or lilo config.

Also, would you mind reducing the size of your sig?

I use ftp to install arch linux on my notebook,but it's report the similar error...

Don't know if you are still there and whats up with your installation, but I had the same error and fixed it by changing the initrd line in /boot/grub/menu.lst to:  initrd /boot/initrd26-full.img

While booting you have to press e in grub, edit that line and then press b for boot. After successfull booting you can then change the menu.lst file as root.
