Hey,
I was installed CUDA via: pacman -S cuda
CUDA 9.2 version installed on the system. There is a incompatible between CUDA 9.2 version and the tensorFlow-gpu. Therefore i need to install CUDA 9. I downloaded 9.0 tar.xz file here: https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/c/cuda/
After that, I tried this: pacman -U cuda-9.0.176-4-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz
It gives me this warning:
loading packages...
warning: downgrading package cuda (9.2.148-2 => 9.0.176-4)
resolving dependencies...
warning: cannot resolve "gcc6", a dependency of "cuda"
:: The following package cannot be upgraded due to unresolvable dependencies:

error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: unable to satisfy dependency 'gcc6' required by cudaI found this topic but it was insufficient explanation: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=234861
How do I correctly install CUDA 9.0?

XY problem. Are you aware there is a https://www.archlinux.org/packages/comm … flow-cuda/ that claims to be compatible with the most recent CUDA? If you are and you aren't using that, why are you not using that?

I am also having the same problem. The
pacman -S tensorflow-cudadoes not resolve the issue.

@alex628 you have not provided details of the issue as V1del requested.
What is failing to work? Where did you obtain it from? What output does it produce when it fails?

Thank you! But I can't understand what should i do after i installed the that package. Is it replacament for CUDA? If so, do I have to do something else after installing?

Whoops I linked the wrong thing, use https://www.archlinux.org/packages/comm … flow-cuda/
Edit: Because I looked at the PKGBUILD for a sec, if you have a Haswell+ generation CPU, you mgiht get even more fancy with https://www.archlinux.org/packages/comm … w-opt-cuda

Welcome to the BBS. There are a few things that you should take note of before your next post:
1. Don't recommend the use of AUR helpers without significant consideration.
2. This thread is months old and may not even be answerable. Please do not necrobump old topics.
3. Following 2, please reread the code of conduct you agreed to when you registered today.
Closing.
All the best,
