[SOLVED] AMD Cedar HDMI Audio Radeon HD driver normally fails to enume

I am running Arch on a Dell Inspiron N5010 laptop. I would like to use the HDMI output to watch movies but the HDMI audio driver doesn't always enumerate at boot. I'm not entirely sure why.

uname -a:

Linux gondor 4.18.9.a-1-hardened #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Sep 20 20:54:53 CEST 2018 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Generally it is detected on the first boot after a hard power cycle, and is not detected after reboot. It doesn't seem to make a difference whether I use linux or linux-hardened.

Has anyone run into this? Any ideas why it might not be enumerating consistently?

Re: [SOLVED] AMD Cedar HDMI Audio Radeon HD driver normally fails to enume

Never mind, this was due to failing hardware. That graphics card is well on its way to dead.
