Unable to install python-gobject due to dependency clash

I am trying to use Redshift and in order to run redshift-gtk I need to install the python-gobject package.  However when I due I get this error:

sudo pacman -S python-gobject
resolving dependencies...
looking for conflicting packages...
error: failed to prepare transaction (could not satisfy dependencies)
:: python2-gobject: installing pygobject-devel (3.30.1-3) breaks dependency 'pygobject-devel=3.26.1'

Is there anything I can do about this other than just wait until the package maintainer updates the dependency?

Thanks in advance!

Update your system first with pacman -Syu.
