Since accountsservice 0.6.53-1 it is not possible to hide users from gdm anymore.
How to reproduce:
1. Follow instructions at https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GD … login_list and set SystemAccount to true:
SystemAccount=true
2. Restart and see that account is still visible at gdm login screen.

Same problem. Also the user icons are not showing or were resetted after upgrade to Gnome 3.30.
Edit: Also there is a "git daemon user" in the user account settings that i do not see in GDM.

This is because for some reason
/var/lib/accountsservice
is created instead of using
/var/lib/AccountsService
I'm not sure if it's failure in accountsservice package or more likely in some part of GNOME "break your desktop" environment.

Might be this?
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/accounts … 05a691984b
Also when checking the pacman log:
...
[2018-09-26 12:13] [ALPM] upgraded gdm (3.30.0+6+g5db19c5b-1 -> 3.30.1-1)
...
[2018-09-27 07:11] [ALPM] upgraded accountsservice (0.6.50-1 -> 0.6.53-1)
...
And check the time of the following:
ls -la /var/lib/AccountsService/users/gdm
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 70 Sep 27 07:10 /var/lib/AccountsService/users/gdm
So seems an issue related to accountsservice 0.6.53-1.
