I use LightDM as my display manager and I noticed that it doesn't show my avatar anymore (after an update today).
Everything is set according to the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Li … our_avatar.

How is this "SOLVED"? my
/var/lib/accountsservice/users/wake
contained
Icon=/home/wake/.face
, so I copied my old icon file:
/home/wake/.face: PNG image data, 96 x 96, 8-bit/color RGB, non-interlaced
. My icon still doesn't display.

I had that too when updated a system. You need to copy/move /home/wake/.face to /var/lib/accountsservice/icons/wake.png and edit your /var/lib/accountsservice/users/wake accordingly. I think your current accounsservice setup doesn't work because user file wake and icon file .face are not on the same partition (not sure).

This was solved by a 9/29 update to accountsservice. The problem was related to a case-sensitive naming change that resulted in the program referring to /var/lib/accountsservice instead of /var/lib/AccountsService.
