[SOLVED] Problem setting up printer

I just bought a new printer a HP LaserJet MFP Pro M28w, which has usb and wifi connectivity. I am trying to set it up via wifi using hplip. More specific via hp-setup but for some reason the setup completes but my printer soesn't receive an ip-address at the end. Though it claims to be connected but when I check cups etc. it can't see the printer. The printer shows up fine via usb. My router is a Buffalo d1800h running dd-wrt. I am completely stumped to why it won't connect to my wifi. Everything else connects just fine. Any ideas on how to fix this or get a log or similar that would tell me something at least?

Re: [SOLVED] Problem setting up printer

Look up the user guide* for your printer, section manage the printer > configure IP network settings.

There are instructions there how to get a page with network configuration info directly from the printer.

Incase you don't have the user guide, it can be downloaded here http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05847830

Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

(A works at time B)  && (time C > time B ) ≠  (A works at time C)
