I have been using MPD with no problems now for some reason it has just stopped working altogetherlast update was .....

k, try starting it from a terminal and post the error it spits out....

starting gives no errors weird.....
/etc/rc.d/mpd restart .....
I'll try again later cannot reboot atm ....

@Mr Green: Before, have you ever experienced that mpd didnt play some MP3? For some MP3s it starts playing and after a few seconds it ends with "oaishdashdöojacjaiojdoijasdpokaopkwdija" noise.
Some even start like this.
Have you ever experienced this or is it a "me-only-phenomenon"?
I am not sure, but doesnt mpd have a verbose-mode where it "floods" with you log messages?

Rebooted & its back very strange workin' fine now ... what gives lol
***EDIT*** Vmplayer muted sound when started opened alsamixer M'ed put back levels sound works again but it causes mpd to stop working ;-)
