Linux supported USB Fingerprint readers

Hello  arch community,

I really appreciate the comfort fingerprint readers provide on my MacbookPro and with Windows Hello on my Desktop.

Would anyone know a well working, decent, small USB fingerprint reader that works well with Linux and Gnome?

My search attempts on the web have not been very fruitful so far - maybe the arch community is more knowledgeable?

Thanks

Re: Linux supported USB Fingerprint readers

Is it really that hopeless? Could someone maybe share some experiences?

Re: Linux supported USB Fingerprint readers

I think many of the USB scanners are now based on elan chips that are supported by libfprint. From a short look, at least the TNP Nano USB Fingerprint reader and Cobo C2 seem to be working at least partially.
