polybar won't show up on monitor [i3-gaps]

This is what I've in my i3 config file.

bar {
        i3bar_command $HOME/.config/polybar/launch.sh
}
exec_always --no-startup-id $HOME/.config/polybar/launch.sh

You don't need that bar config section in your i3 config file. Just the exec_always line is enough, then you can run your bar(s) in that launsh.sh file. And use `monitor`  variable in the polybar config file to stick your bar to a specific monitor if you want.
