Gnome 3.30 Cannot lock workstation

Whenever my workstation locks, either by time, by going into suspend or by pressing Windows+L, Gnome Shell crashes.

This is what logs shows:

 9:35:25 PM systemd-coredum: Process 910 (gnome-shell) of user 1000 dumped core.

I'm using X11 for gdm and gnome, and not Wayland.

Laptop is a ThinkPad T440 with Intel GPU, so I am using the open source Intel driver.

Re: Gnome 3.30 Cannot lock workstation

Ok, I've narrowed down a few things.  It looks like Dash to Dock was causing the problem.  I disabled Dash To Dock and installed Window List instead.  Window List causes the exact same problem.  So I removed that one and installed Frippery Bottom Panel.  That one also causes Gnome Shell to crash when you try and lock.  Then I installed Task Bar, and it did the same thing.  It appears any extension that puts a bottom panel on the screen will cause Gnome Shell to crash when you try and lock it.
