KDE "change resolution" bug?

Ok, this is getting very annoying.

I have my nvidia gf4 ti4800 connected to my tv so when i'm watching movies etc i change to 1024x768 (twinview). The problem is that if i don't change back to 1400x1050 (or some other res) "in time" it can't change back at all. So im stuck at 1024x768...  I can if I want change to whatever res and switch back without problems...

So all in all I have to restart X to get to my default res back everytime i'm watching movies via tv-out.

Is this some kinda KDE bug or could perhaps mplayer cause something like this??

Im running latest kernel and latest nvidia drivers

BTW, when this occurs i can still change res via CTRL-ALT + and -

Re: KDE "change resolution" bug?

Have you tried using KRandRTray?  It'll let you change your resolutions on the fly in KDE.  No idea if it'll help you with your problem, but it may be worth a shot.
