Hey there,
since a week i have a lot of problems with my installation of arch.
the pitty is, that i dont know exactely what i changed a week before.
but i already run a memtest on my ram and installed the linux-lts package.
but nothing changed.
i have an i7 4790K CPU, NVidia GTX 1060 with nvidia drivers 410.66 (tried 390 also, nothing changed) and 16gb ram
running cinnamon 3.8.9 and kernel 4.14.78-1-lts
after the last freeze (happend when i wanted to install nextcloud-client from yaourt) i did a journalctl -b-1
hope this helps a bit.
thanks in advance!

Thanks.
this dont seem to be my problem because i have no swap activated. And in this situations Ram is only used with around 3gb out of 16gb avaiable.

ftr,
Okt 24 22:37:35 markusPC systemd[1]: Activated swap /dev/disk/by-uuid/c231e5ce-20e3-4f49-9a22-2da896f8684b.I assume you ran an update about a week ago? Let's see your pacman log.
Also please elaborate on the "freeze" (when does it happen; how does it manifest, ie. what is affected; can you still ping the system; …)

ok. seems it was an hardware-error.
i replaced my motherboard now and everything seems to work fine. no more freezes, no errors, quicker shutdown...
so i dont know if this threat will be of any help for others... shall i mark it as solved or just let it silently die?

You can marked it as solved or report it and ask a moderator to delete it which ever you prefer.
