USB Stick failed to mount while installing Arch

Hello guys,
Yesterday I got my new Surface Go and ofc the first thing I tried to do with it is wipe Windows from the Drive and install a proper Operating System: Arch Linux.
However after booting from the USB Stick, I get the error message ERROR: '/dev/disk/by-label/ARCH_201806' to '/run/archiso/bootmnt'.
I tried everything that I could find on the Internet. That includes every USB creation method listed in the offical wiki, both on linux and windows. I also tried to rename the USB drive to the required name, but that didn't helped either.
Also I have red in a post that appending a line in the syslinux.cfg could fix the issue, however the syslinux.cfg that they got, looked a lot different then the one I have.
Also creating a symlink and relogging didn't helped because the logout command didn't worked.
And booting the USB drive on another system brings up the same error message.

Something that might be a bit interesting is that the Surface doesn't has a normal sized USB port, therefor I'm using a USB to USB-C adapter, but that shouldn't be a issue, especially because the same drive on another system doesn't work either.

Well I hope someone can help me, because installing worked before and I don't get it why it shouldn't now ...
I hope that I don't have to switch back to Debian, do you guys think that using another distro could work?
Thanks a lot for you help and your time in advance!

Re: USB Stick failed to mount while installing Arch

Right.

Never come back.

My apologies for that reaction. I pulled the trigger too quickly having seen your previous post.

Please post full error logs for what happened when you tried the method shown in the wiki.

All the best,

Re: USB Stick failed to mount while installing Arch

No problem good sir, in the end you are still helping me and not just closing my post without properly reading my it ...
Writing the files never have been an error, just booting from it never worked. I have tried everything from dd to Rufus, Ether, USBBootin and so on, everytime I do have the same problem.
If you do want to have error log while booting, it basically says that it can't mount the USB drive and therefor can't find it, but on request I can give you the proper outputs

Re: USB Stick failed to mount while installing Arch

I did already, but you can consider this the request to post all full and complete logs for the boot when you used the official method.

Re: USB Stick failed to mount while installing Arch

Also try an updated ISO with a more modern kernel.

Re: USB Stick failed to mount while installing Arch

Sorry, it sounded like that you want to have the output of the files copying.
But well, here is the output of the boot sequence of the lastest Arch version:

    Falling back to interactive prompt
You can try to fix the problem manually, log out when you are finished
sh: can't access tty: job control turned off

Re: USB Stick failed to mount while installing Arch

therefor I'm using a USB to USB-C adapter, but that shouldn't be a issue

Try re-plugging the adapter and stick while the system is waiting for it to show up
