[SOLVED]Can't connect to new home router via wpa_supplicant

I have been using Arch for more than a year with wpa_supplicant, and everything was working fine until I changed the home router now I can't connect to it anymore via wpa_supplicant, I have checked ssid and psk.

output of wpa_cli after activating the network

<3>CTRL-EVENT-SCAN-STARTED
<3>CTRL-EVENT-SCAN-RESULTS
<3>CTRL-EVENT-NETWORK-NOT-FOUND
> enable_network 0
OK
<3>CTRL-EVENT-SCAN-STARTED
<3>CTRL-EVENT-SCAN-RESULTS
<3>CTRL-EVENT-NETWORK-NOT-FOUND

output of

dmesg | grep wlp2s0

[ 18.078336] rtl8192ce 0000:02:00.0 wlp2s0: renamed from wlan0
[ 23.999416] IPv6: ADDRCONF(NETDEV_UP): wlp2s0: link is not ready

output of

dmesg | grep rtl8192ce

[ 17.377429] rtl8192ce: Chip Version ID: B_CHIP_88C
[ 17.392504] rtl8192ce: Using firmware rtlwifi/rtl8192cfw.bin
[ 18.078336] rtl8192ce 0000:02:00.0 wlp2s0: renamed from wlan0

output from

systemctl --type=service

you can see that the wpa_supplicant is failed to start

Currently I connect to the internet by using usb tathering.

EDIT:
It's not completely new, it's the router I used to use before the one I was working on.

Re: [SOLVED]Can't connect to new home router via wpa_supplicant

Is your new router configured to use a frequency that your interface can recieve?

What standards are your router/interface using?

No, it didn't "fix" anything. It just shifted the brokeness one space to the right. - jasonwryan

It's the router I used to use before that one, and from the company(it's also my ISP), but there is the output of scan_results, I don't know how to get my interface frequency

What are the output of sudo iw dev wlp2s0 scan   ?
Also, as a sanity check, what are the output of ip link ?

Re: [SOLVED]Can't connect to new home router via wpa_supplicant

I assume that your router SSID is Khaled\x20
I find it interesting you have only one router in range.  I live in suburbia, but from where I sit, I see at least half a dozen from the homes around me.

Note the \x20 at the end of the SSID.  That mean there is whitespace at the end of the SSID (a space).  Might that be the problem?

WOW, it works, thx a slot sir, IDK but that is very strange, you have an eagle eye.

Cool.  Remember to update the thread title by editing your first post to prepending [solved] to the title.
