Hi,
I can't access my new smartphone (BQ Aquaris X2 Pro running Android 8.1) with Rhythmbox.
Acquiring access via Thunar (I use Xfce) works flawlessly but for the life of me I can't figure out what's what with Rhythmbox.
With my old smartphone (a Nexus), the syncing in Rhythmbox always worked as intended and without a hitch after I clicked on its symbol in Thunar's nagivation bar to start its auto-mount.
As I said, now I can still access the files on the smartphone when it's mounted via mtp, but it does not show up in Rhythmbox. ![]()
Would anyone have a clue as to why that happens?
Some info:
$ sudo pacman -Qi rhythmbox | grep Version
Version : 3.4.2+4+ge123ad533-2
$ sudo pacman -Qi gvfs-mtp | grep Version
Version : 1.38.1-1
$ sudo pacman -Qi android-file-transfer | grep Version
Version : 3.5-1
$ pacman -Q libmtp
Version : 1.1.16-1EDIT
Just got the update for libmtp (1.1.15 -> 1.1.16), nothing changed
UPDATE 2020-01-24
As of roughly 2020-01-05, Rhythmbox got updated to 3.4.4-1 and it shows my smartphone again.

For what it is worth, you don't need elevated privileges for `pacman -Q` nor do you need to grep for the version:
┌─[Shiv ~]
└─╼ pacman -Q libmtp
libmtp 1.1.15-1Offline
Oh. Thanks!
