Hello:
I recently approached the GNOME community, as well as the developer of my original theme(s) that I know, and none were able to help me. Due to Arch's Qt/GTK2 reskin thing, I feel that the only people who might know would be on these boards.
I've run into extremely minor issues with the Qt/GTK2 thing. Unfortunately there is a default selection and progress-bar value that's a pale blue color. Previously I've been able to have the selection color and progress-bar match my theme; this could be from my Cinnamon days.
#1) The progress bar and selection color values for all Qt applications are on a default, pale blue color that I can't seem to find. I have been told I can't fix this. Is this true? If I can fix this, how do I fix it?
#2) If I can't fix this issue, then can I force Qt applications to utilize the GTK3 from my theme? I only ask b/c everyone in the GNOME GTK IRC was telling me no one around knows GTK2 anymore. I also ask b/c I am 99.99% sure all my applications can run GTK3.
#3) My Top Bar's Volume/Screen-Brightness and the dialog for Volume/Screen-Brightness has gone to weird colors since a recent GNOME Shell update. They seem to also have gone to a default value. Can this be fixed? I put this here b/c I use "gtk-switch-theme2" on the Top Bar to get it to also emulate my GTK2/3 elements.
I'm certainly no expert. I've been tinkering around w/ my theme on-off for about a year, now; ie, long enough that I'm not willing to let it go at this point. These are the last few minor bugs I have for it to work. Any assistance would be amazing. Even pointing me in the right direction would be helpful.
Many thanks.

Arch doesn't have any defaults, nor a Arch specific "Qt/GTK2 thing".
There's also plenty of information on how to get uniform looks for the tookits in the wiki what have you actually tried?

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Qt#Appearance
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/GTK%2B#Themes
Your question is too open ended, what theme are you actually using and would want to have applied to more things?

Yes, everything you just posted links to is the aforementioned "Qt/GTK2 thing."
Qt applications such as VLC Media Player are all able to assume my system's GTK2 skins. However, the progress bar color value is a pale blue color, not a fluorescent green of my theme, ie the progress bar in my Qt application is not reskinned to my GTK progress bars (progress of a movie's time, etc., at the bottom). As I was stating, Qt applications do not assume my GTK progress bar values in the "Qt/GTK2 thing." The Qt applications just go to some random, default progress bar value.
How can I change this progress bar color value so that Qt applications match GTK progress bars? Otherwise, can I somehow make Qt pair up w/ GTK3 instead of GTK2? I know for certain this theme previously was making VLC and other Qt applications do GTK3 values as I didn't have this issue until I swapped from Cinnamon to GNOME.
Also, this theme is a myriad of other themes I've stitched together like Frankenstein's monster and there's no way to really explain it other than that. It's not one specific theme, just like ten themes' elements all paired together.

vlc has no progressbar, but a slider - and it picks up the element from my gtk theme (color adjusted elegant brit) fine.
Did you check whether that's a limited issue of your particular theme?

@seth
You might be onto something. Again, the theme worked perfectly in Cinnamon, but has some snags in GNOME. The theme does have PNGs stored and several other elements in the GTK2.0 rc-file for the progress bar.
Unfortunately I don't know much about theme-ing. So I'm not sure if I'm missing a variable for GTK2.0 or something.
Can you recommend a theme for me to try that'd work , please, perhaps the one you use?

Let's first ensure it's actually used:
QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE=gtk2 vlcI don't use gnome, so if that's really significant (and things still work w/ cinnamon…)

@seth
I installed Elegenat Brit & Numix, but neither's progress bar worked on VLC. Starting VLC thru the command in terminal didn't work either. Again, GTK2 is actually on it, but just the progress bar is a pale, default blue. So, everything else is working fine in all of this beyond that. I can try to upload my theme if you think it's part of my theme itself.

I'm unsure, but I wonder now if I've setup the system incorrectly for Qt/GTK2 pairing. I followed Arch's guides previously as closely as I could, but now I wonder if I didn't follow it correctly somehow.

Please don't bump, just edit your post to mend it.
I suggest to upload a screnshot of the critical item in cinnamon and gnome.

There was no intentional bump. It was a secondary thought. I don't use forums.
You can see "~/.bash_history" in the theme's selected green. The progress bar of VLC is still the default, pale blue at the bottom. It should be green.
Unfortunately I no longer run Cinnamon. I switched almost a year ago to GNOME and deleted the metacity and stuff in the theme since doing so.

So we do not actually know whether the DE is any significant.
That thing is (i think) not the default slider, but some configurable "time slider".
In any case: it's a hardcoded element, you cannot style it. If you're lucky, you might get it to pick the highlight color using qt5ct

@seth
That's prob' a valid point you make about it being hard-coded. I'm going to give qt5ct a whirl. I don't think I've tried that yet, and I'll report anything back. Thanks for your help, man.
