Hi.
I configured the automatic login on tty after boot using the following systemd drop-in snippet:
# /etc/systemd/system/getty@tty1.service.d/override.conf
[Service]
ExecStart=
ExecStart=-/usr/bin/agetty --autologin user --noclear %I $TERMIt works, however, the shell isn't instantly loaded after the autologin. The blinking cursor is
displayed on tty instead of the shell prompt. I have to press any keys on the keyboard a couple of
times or switch to another tty and switch back to the current one in order the shell to finish
loading.
What can be the reason of this? How to force the shell to load instantly after the autologin without
the need of any additional actions?
Thanks.

You did actually replace user with your username in the drop-in, yes?
Well, no. “user” is actually my username.
I want to point out, that the automatic login do work, but there exist a delay between autoload
finishing and shell loading. In rare cases this delay is absent and the shell is loaded right after
the autologin, sometimes the shell is loaded after about five seconds, but in the majority of cases
the shell isn't loaded and I have to press some keys on the keyboard in order to make the process go
on.

Please post the output of dmesg from a boot where there you have to use key presses to continue autologin.
