Strange RAM Issue

First post here, hello.

I've been searching for a while now, without luck.
My pc has 8 gigs of ram, and they're recognized. But for some reason, about 7 are not usable.

~ $ free -m
total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 7859 580 829 172 6450 6843
Swap: 3814 0 3814

I have never seen this before, any ideas?

Oh, i recently moved some partitions around on my harddrive, including swap.

Re: Strange RAM Issue

That's normal, a large part of your RAM is being used for file disk caches to speed up file operations if the RAM is not in use otherwise: https://www.linuxatemyram.com/

Good thing I posted it here then, haha! Thanks though.

Probably should have mentioned in OP, but the ui freezes pretty often, therefore i thought it was ram.
It's most likely just some script i have running somewere.
