Out-of-the-box, `rofi -show run` lists all installed binaries on my system, including a lot of stuff I'd never run directly. I'd like to maintain my custom list of applications that rofi would show.
Is it possible to add a custom application list in rofi?
I can't find any info on the wiki or in the manual.

Look into "rofi -show drun" and "rofi -drun-match-fields". Cheers!

Not quite an answer to the question, however using
rofi.disable-history: false
in /home/$USER/.config/rofi/config for a couple days will put most frequent used apps to beginning of rofi box.
PS. some shell scripts i use to add custom entries to rofi
this video is worth a watch.
