Lenovo Thinkpad T470s microphone not working on Gnome

Soon after BIOS update I realised that microphone is not working anymore in messengers. in Gnome Control Panel input level is 0, but arecord and pavucontrol both show adequate sound levels, so i conclude microphone is ok, just signal roams. Where can this be fixed?

pactl list source-outputs shows

       Driver: protocol-native.c
      Module-Owner: 12
	Client: 7
	Source: 1
	??? ???: float32le 1-channel
	Channe scheme: mono
	Format: pcm, format.sample_format = "\"float32le\""  format.rate = "25"  format.channels = "1"  format.channel_map = "\"mono\""
	Data flow paused: no
	Sound off: no
	Volume: mono: 65536 / 100% / 0,00 dB
	        balance 0,00
	Buffer delay: 0 мкс
	Source delay: 641 мкс
	Rediscretization method: peaks
	Properties:
		application.id = "org.gnome.VolumeControl"
		media.name = "Peak detector"
		application.name = "GNOME Volume Control Dialog"
		native-protocol.peer = "UNIX socket client"
		native-protocol.version = "32"
		application.icon_name = "multimedia-volume-control"
		application.version = ""
		application.process.binary = "gnome-control-center"

		module-stream-restore.id = "source-output-by-application-id:org.gnome.VolumeControl"

some keywords may be innacurate, translating back from my locale
