[Solved] External HD with ext4 FS mounted as readonly

Hi all.

I've 4 TB external HD with 3 partitions (1 NTFS and 2 Ext4 partitions). I've no problem with NTFS partition. Ext4 partition is mounted as read-only. I also tried adding mount option in fstab file with no success. This is the mount option that I've used:

UUID=xxx	/media/wd1		ext4	   defaults,user,noauto	0	0

How can I fix this problem?

Not sure about the user flag...

UUID=xxx   /media/wd1   ext4    defaults    0   0

Does your user have permissions on the physical partition?  If not that could be your issue.

I don't know what's wrong. My previous external HD worked without any problems.

This is weird. Changes directory permission after mounting the partition fixes this issue.
