Hi,
when i see videos on youtube on chrome, firefox the CPU can go from 25% to more than 60%. The same video read from vlc is less than 10%.
Is there a thing to configure to fix that ?
Thanks

No, browsers do not have relevant hardware accelerated video decoding support on linux. There exists a patchset for chromium which enables VAAPI which you can get from https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/chromium-vaapi or https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/chromium-vaapi-bin/ That is using an unofficial patch that isn't planned to be included in chrome/mainline chromium for the time being.

Try this firefox extension for youtube videos.
By default, YouTube streams VP8/VP9 encoded video. However, this can cause problems with less powerful machines because VP8/VP9 is not typically hardware accelerated.
In contrast, H.264 is commonly hardware accelerated by GPUs, which usually means smoother video playback and reduced CPU usage. h264ify makes YouTube stream H.264 videos instead of VP8/VP9 videos.
