Hello,
I'm a new ArchLinux user. So far I've been able to install everything I need, but for 2 days I'm trying to install the webcam.
I followed the steps from here, I downloaded the qc-usb-0.6.6.tar.gz file, but when I run the comands
make qc-usb-0.6.6
I get the following error:
awk: fatal: cannot open file `/lib/modules/4.19.2-arch1-1-ARCH/build/include/linux/version.h' for reading (No such file or directory)
/bin/sh: line 0: [: -ge: unary operator expected

Your link is incorrect, it currently points to an invalid link of the Arch Linux forums.
You should in most circumstances not install stuff without using pacman. So even if you were to install something not available in the official repositories, or the AUR, it is still advisable to write a PKGBUILD so that you could build a proper Arch package.
However, in this specific case you are trying to install a 12 year old driver. I don't think there is any hope of getting that to work with current kernels and libraries. Most webcams these days will work on Linux without needing any further work on the user's part. If your webcam does not work out-of-the-box, then I suggest reading the Arck wiki entry for webcams.
