ASUS / Fan at full speed

Hi all,

I'm searching some help to find the origin of a probably software bug on arch.

Since some days (I didn't check exactly since what updates), after some minutes my laptop start the cpu fan (usually above 2700RPM), but here it start and stay at full speed.
No cpu load or something on the system. The temperature is very low (above 35°C).

The lm_sensors says the fan is running at 25500 RPM (which is impossible, the max is above 5000).

I'm searching how to determine if it's a kernel bug, or an intel driver bug or something else.

I've tried to start the laptop, let in on the bios, to see if after some minutes the fan start at the good speed. It is.
I think I will try with a windows to compare, or another linux.

My laptop is an ASUS UX305UA.
I'm running full updated archlinux.
Kernel is     4.18.11.arch1-1.
inte-ucode 20180807.a-1
xf86-video-intel 1:2.99.917+847+g25c9a2fc-1

Do you have any idea how I can search the origin?
Maybe someone got the same issue?

Thanks

Re: ASUS / Fan at full speed

Actually I changed the FAN, but the problem was still present after that.

Since I'm running last 4.18 kernels (after the one I was using), or 4.19 I didn't get the problem anymore.

What kernel are you using?
