Hello all,
NetworkManager is being started after every boot and I dont know how or why. I disabled it via systemd (systemctl disable NetworkManager) and its disabled, but it still starts after every boot.
My question is: How can I find out how a process is started? How can I even debug this problem?
Thanks

look at the output of pstree. It should show you what started it. And what started that which started it...

I note two things. I don;t think you should have the dhcpcd service enabled. the dhcpcd deamon will be stated by netctl as needed (I think)
Also, you have a logind.conf.pacnew file. you may want to clean that up.
The next step would be to comb the journal for clues, or get out the big hammer and inhibit the NetworkManager service and see what fails.

Thanks for the advice. Will look into it.

Nothing.

Please check the journal for the current boot to see if NetworkManager is being activated by dbus-daemon.

however I believe NetworkManager is triggered by dbus-daemon

Yes, also seen in this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=242228

Do you have NetworkManager Applet running? It might trigger NetworkManager to start.
