KDE 3.1 Package upgrades.

Hello,

I was just wondering how long it usually takes to upgrade the official packages, because kde 3.1 stable is out. Should I just build from source?

Thanks.

Re: KDE 3.1 Package upgrades.

I've already built it, but I'm getting some segmentation faults from some kde apps....  Anyone else getting this?

I building it right now (kdelibs) will give a status update when I'm done building my usual packages (libs, base, mulitmedia, network, games, admin)

Apeiro: In which programs do you get the seg. faults?

Re: KDE 3.1 Package upgrades.

Okay, there are kde 3.1 packages on ftp.archlinux.org, but I haven't updated the pacman db yet, due to these crashes.

Arielext: every app crashed (that I tried).  And they all crash on exit.  So I can run konsole fine, but when I close it, a Crash Handler window pops up, complaining about a SIGSEGV (segmentation fault).

Re: KDE 3.1 Package upgrades.

Well, I'm getting build errors here
when it tries to remove a cpp.temp file it returns the error coe that the file can't be removed. Though the file *is* deleted.

Apeiro: I will try your kde packages and will let you know what happens.
