Greetings!
I have been searching around on the internet for solutions to connecting to an 802.1x network with nmcli, and I found a few forum threads about it; however, there are (for some reason) multiple networks around with the same SSID as the one I wish to connect to, so nmcli never knows which network I am talking about. Is there a way to specify which wireless network I want to connect to? If so, what is it? Thanks for looking!

What do you mean by multiple networks? Multiple physical devices broadcasting the same ESSID? This is to be expected in an enterprise or school environment.
Configuring it with NetworkManger GUI or netctl examples in the wiki were successful in my university days™.

Yes, it is a school environment, so I'm guessing there are multiple devices broadcasting the same ESSID like you said. Also thank you for the tip, I hope those suggestions will work with an 802.1x network. It would still be great if someone knows how to do this from the command line with nmcli, thank you very much though!
