Trying to setup wifi

I have recently installed arch linux and I am having some issues with setting up Wifi. After completing installation and rebooting arch I couldn't connect to wifi, then I discovered I am missing wifi interface.

So here is what I have.  Running  lspci -v  shows me this:

Network controller: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter (rev 31)
Subsystem: AzureWave QCA9377 802.11ac Wireless Network Adapter
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 131
Memory at ef200000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=2M]
Capabilities: <access denied>
Kernel driver in use: ath10k_pci
Kernel modules: ath10k_pci

and " ip link " shows me this:

1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 65536 qdisc noqueue state UNKNOWN mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
2: enp2s0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc fq_codel state UP mode DEFAULT group default qlen 1000
    link/ether 88:d7:f6:91:a3:5b brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff

Will appreciate any help to resolve the problem.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Trying to setup wifi

Post your dmesg, there might be some info on why ath10k fails to create an interface. Did wifi work during installation?

dmesg was very long so I uploaded it on github for preview https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Kouha … ster/dmesg

Wifi worked during installation, but after I rebooted it stopped working.

edit: here is lines where only ath10k_pci is mentioned:

Re: Trying to setup wifi

Two things: Set up your microcode updates and why are you using the LTS kernel? Particularly the ath10k module has seen a lot of work in more recent kernels that is not going to be backported to the LTS kernel, the current LTS kernel is a year old from a hardware support / compatibility POV.

Edit: Ah seems to be a known issue with current linux-firmware, see above

Re: Trying to setup wifi

If you delete /usr/lib/firmware/ath10k/QCA9377/hw1.0/firmware-6.bin then reboot is the dmesg output the same?  (To restore the file pacman -S linux-firmware)
