After upgrading kernel to 4.19-1 trough 4.19-4 version, framebuffer is set to 1024x768 generic resolution.
In the kernel logs, an error is shown :
[ 2.133074] [drm] Display Core initialized with v3.1.59!
[ 2.148452] [drm:dc_link_detect [amdgpu]] *ERROR* No EDID read.
Reverting back to 4.18.16.arch1-1 fixes the problem.
It seems something is subtly wrong with monitor communication.
This problem has already happened with a previous kernel.

Welcome to the arch linux forums sbskas. Is 4.19.5.arch1-1 in testing affected?

Kernel 4.19.5.arch1-1 has the same bug.

Next I would suggest trying 4.20-rc4 using the linux-mainline package from AUR or miffe's unofficial repository.
If that is still affected I would suggest trying linux-amd-staging-drm-next-git if that is still affected then I would suggest bisect between 4.18 and 4.19.
